What training is eligible for California ETP funding?
ETP funding is intended to encourage training that will advance employees' job skills, so generally any topics that serve this purpose will qualify. However, eligibility can depend on multiple factors such as class size, delivery method, and program requirements. Some topics or formats may be ineligible under certain conditions. We are happy to guide you in assessing course eligibility.
Is online training eligible?
Yes - many companies qualify for ETP funding for online or asynchronous training as well. Because eligibility varies, our team reviews your training and provides a customized funding estimate to ensure you capture the full opportunity.

Yes, ETP allows for training to be delivered by company trainers or subject matter experts, as well as external training providers.

Is this funding for non-profit organizations?
ETP accesses several different sources of funding to support workforce training needs. Its core funding stream is created through an employer-paid payroll tax called the Employment Training Tax. This tax is paid by for-profit employers so for the most part only for-profit employers can benefit from this funding. However ETP often has other forms of funding that are not only eligible for but may be directed to non-profit organizations. Contact us to learn more.
